About Berkeley Events: In the late 1800’s the Wesleyan Methodist Church opened its doors in what was then central Toronto. A few blocks from Toronto’s original city hall, the glorious space was a natural meeting place in the heart of the city.

A century and a half later, now called the 1871 Berkeley Church, the building continues to draw crowds as an extraordinary events venue. The cornerstone of the Berkeley Events business, the 1871 sits at the corner of Queen St. E. and Berkley St. in what is now called East Toronto.

For Berkeley Events, the one-of-a-kind space is a prize to offer our clients event planners. Breathtaking indoor and outdoor spaces, private rooms, photo nooks, a gourmet kitchen, and more, make this a unique venue in Toronto.

Since 1999, Berkeley Events has grown to include a variety of venues allowing us to serve all manner of events. We have hosted:
